What is an uninstallation challenge code?

The uninstallation challenge code is an encrypted code that contains the serial number of the software to be uninstalled. This code can be obtained during the uninstallation of the software, and is validated through this page. Once the uninstallation challenge code is validated, your software removal will be complete. If the uninstallation is not properly completed, you may experience compliance issues if you try to install the software again later, usin the same serial number.
Why is an internet connection required?

An Internet connection is required in order to remove the license our activation servers. When the machine where the product is being uninstalled has an Internet connection, this process is automatic. Only the serial number provided by the uninstallation program is sent to our servers.

Alternatively, if necessary, this information could be submitted from another computer that is connected to the Internet. When the machine where the product is being installed does not have an Internet connection, the uninstallation program will provide a challenge code that can be used to obtain the uninstall code from any machine with an Internet connection.
What about security issues?

The information is encrypted using the standard RSA Public/Private key methodology.

Our uninstallation does not scan your hard drive or gather any personal information from your computer; therefore, no privacy issues should be of concern to our customers.

Our goal is to prevent installation of serial numbers that have been obtained from fraudulent purchases, returned products, expired programs and other suspicious means.
